The interview process had two steps. First, I spoke with HR. They cancelled and rescheduled our initial chat. Then I had a second interview with the hiring manager. The first interview was about my background and had lots of technical questions. The second interview went more in-depth on my background and resume, asking about my experience with different skills. It was a good experience and I think I did well, especially since I'm a strong candidate with 6+ years of marketing experience and a master's degree. But, I got a short, impersonal rejection email. I took 2 days off work, losing over 400 CAD, and feel ghosted after that investment.

I was contacted by a recruiter who set up a phone interview that ran a bit long, but it was for good reason. Then, I had a second interview on Teams with the hiring manager. It took 30 days between the two interviews because the hiring manager was out of office for 3 weeks, which felt like a waste of time. After my video interview, which went well and felt like a decent interview, I was ghosted. A week passed and I followed up politely with the hiring manager, but got no response. It was really unprofessional and rude. I wish I could have gotten feedback.

HR scheduled a 30-minute chat but it dragged on for 1.5 hours. They mostly asked me to detail my past roles, even though I had the same job title at a better company. The HR person seemed unaware of the role's specifics, which was a waste of my time. They did move me to the next step, but it included mandatory quizzes, one of which was a logic test similar to what's used in consulting. I found this task pointless and decided to pull out of the process. I wasn't very interested in the job anyway, as it felt like a step down, and their lack of industry knowledge suggests it's not a great place to work unless you're really stuck.
