Behavioral Group

Started with first round interview with the recruiter, very conversational and just learning more about the firm. Once you pass the first round, you will be scheduled for the last round interview which is a panel interview where there will be an Associate and PPMD. It was mostly behavioral questions, super conversational and everything was smooth!

The overall interview process was great. The people were friendly and the conversations felt genuine and very informative. The process was pretty expedient, which was exciting, but also didn't allow much time to process a big step like changing employers. By the end, the final interview for offer signing made me feel like just another candidate, not valued as an individual, which was a complete change from the rest of the interview experience.

I was connected to this role through the Mom project and then applied. My background as a TAS Manager in Big4 and regional consulting made me a good fit. After applying, I connected with the recruiting team on LinkedIn; they were great to work with. The Mom project recruiter mentioned they'd do a screening call and then I'd hear from the internal recruiter if it was a good match. I had that screening call two days later and it went really well. The internal recruiter then set up a secondary screening call to go over the process. She was fantastic and also sent a skills assessment, which was more of an audit/cognitive reasoning test than a transaction advisory specific one. I completed it right away and scored high enough to move on. The next interviews were scheduled about two weeks out, which felt a bit long for a 2-hour Zoom call, but I went with it. I met with an audit partner who also does TAS work, and a Managing Director from TAS. They were both super pleasant. The audit partner even cut our conversation short because we covered everything so fast, which he said was a good sign. We ended up chatting about personal stuff too. The technical interview with the MD was good, not super deep, but touched on deal sizes, industries, and whether I worked on buyside or sellside. They both outlined the next steps, mentioning a potential final fit interview, but indicated they had most of the info they needed. It took about three days for them to tell the Mom project recruiter that the feedback was very positive and that I should connect with the department head. It took another three days to get a Zoom meeting with the partner/department head. That went well; he asked for a highlight reel of my resume but didn't go into much detail, seeming a bit rushed. He mentioned they had another interview the next day but promised an answer by the end of that week, about 25 days after I first applied, or the following Monday at the latest. The Mom project recruiter let me know his feedback was positive and I was their top candidate. We didn't hear anything that Friday or the following Monday. They then told my recruiter that interviews were rescheduled and I'd get an answer by Wednesday or Thursday of that week. By this point, I had other offers. Wednesday passed, and they said I'd know by Friday. Friday passed, and they asked for another week. Today, 40 days after initial contact, they told me they chose another candidate. Thankfully, I had other options, but be aware this process moves very slowly. The people I met were wonderful, but the slowness in getting an answer was surprising, especially given the current job market. This is why I'm giving a less-than-positive score.
