Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GHD.
Environmental Scientist
The interview was mostly situational and behavioral questions. It was conversational rather than technical, and took place in a calm setting. The interview began with standard questions and concluded with time for me to ask about the company.
- Can you share an instance where you made an error and describe how you rectified it?
Scientist
It was a pretty straightforward process. First, HR screening, then they set up a Teams interview with 2-3 people from the company. They asked technical and personality questions to see how you'd fit into a team.
- Can you describe a challenging situation you faced and explain how you managed it?
Environmental Scientist
I went through three panel interviews for the Environmental Scientist role, and they got more technical with each round. The first one was mostly to see if I was still interested. The second one dove into the specific roles and responsibilities of the job. The last one covered things like salary, my availability, and what I expected from the position. It was a really professional and positive experience overall.
- Can you tell me about your experience and technical expertise?
- Do you have a willingness to travel for work?
- What are your views on safety and health?
