First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GFT Technologies.
Java Developer
Got a call from HR, they didn't even schedule it. They asked general questions about my studies. Even though we didn't agree on the call, they were formal. Had an initial online get-to-know-you meeting, it was quite cold. Got feedback quickly. The technical interview was disarming. They gave me an exercise to do in 30 minutes. Initially, they said 'even in pseudocode' or even a flowchart. During the correction, they nitpicked on syntax. The technician was cold and not empathetic at all. HR was also there silently watching me the whole time. They also repeated the same questions about my studies and life experiences from the first interview. Redundant. Overall a completely negative experience.
- Programming exercise resolution in 30 minutes
- Questions about why you wanted to work for them
- Questions about why a certain course of study was chosen
Senior Java Developer
The whole thing took like 4 months. After I sent my resume and cover letter, they sent me a test with about 60 questions to do in 1 hour. It covered stuff like maven, spring, server knowledge, java, java 8, hibernate, jpa transactions, wsdl, and design patterns. A few weeks later, they invited me for an interview with HR. The person was really nice, no tricky questions, just standard HR stuff, lasted about 30 minutes over Hangout. My advice: definitely look up what the company does beforehand. After a few more weeks, I'd almost forgotten about it when they called me for a technical interview the next day. That call was straightforward, no tricks, just simple questions. After that, they set up an interview for the actual proposal.
- Can you tell me about your strong and weak points, and also about the company, some past project, and your experience?

Java Developer
The interview process involves 3 interview points: HR and two technical interviews. One is with the client and another is internal with Gft. There might also be some coding challenges. The interview is conducted in English. It really depends on the client, and obviously the questions are tailored to each client type.
- Can you explain Java and Spring Boot concepts, along with OOP principles?
