Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Gett.
Product Manager
I was contacted by a recruiter. About a week later, I went to the Gett office for an HR interview. The HR person was very nice. Since the interview, I haven't received any feedback or response. From my perspective, this says a lot about the company and how they treat their candidates unhumanly!!!
- Can you tell me your B.A score points?
Product Manager
The process had 6 steps. First, a phone interview with HR to go over my resume. Then, a home assignment was sent, due in a week, asking for product solutions to an industry problem. After that, two product interviews, an HR interview, and finally an interview with the COO. The people were nice and passionate, which made a great impression.
- Could you share an example of a product you find appealing?
Product Manager
The interview process was great, I met great people and everybody was very friendly! I could see the passion in the eyes of each and every employee. I was also in a closing stage with 3 other companies, and as I told them that - they really accelerated the whole process, so that when I get to my final decision, they would be one of my options. I really appreciated the amazing efforts they made to squeeze the whole process in a week, and in the end - they won. I went with them! About the process: 1. After they got my CV, I got a call from the really nice HR and she gave me a home task, which I had a week to do (though they don't expect candidates to put more than a 2-day-effort). 2. If the candidate passes the task, they are summoned to a first interview with their future supervisor. The first PM interview is mostly professional (some product question, some analytical questions, some business questions etc.) 3. After I passed the first interview I was called for the second and the third interview at the same day. One of them was with HR. She asked mostly about me, my former jobs and how I performed in them. The other one was with another product manager in the product team. He also reviewed my former professional experiences and asked about my performance. 4. After I passed all three interviews, I had a BlueJeans interview with the company's COO (Max) who lives in Russia. Max is a visionary, very professional and very fun to talk with. He first introduced himself, how he sees Gett currently, and his vision about Gett's future and the entire industry's future (very interesting to hear), afterwards he asked about me, my life, my experience and what I've done in each experience. In the end he gave me some brain teasers and riddles (they are used only to see the way the candidate thinks, don't be stressed about them). 5. After that - you Gett the offer :)
- Can you tell me about a product you really like and explain your reasoning?
- Describe a product you dislike and suggest improvements.
- What are your thoughts on various industry products like Lyft, Uber, and Via?
