So, the Gerdau interview for the G.Start program starts with resume screening where you just fill out a form with your info, course, semester, and location. Then they pre-select and invite people for the next stage. The first part is usually a one-on-one interview or a quick personal presentation. You gotta talk about yourself, your major, any relevant experience, your skills, and why you want to intern at Gerdau. They're looking at how you communicate, if you're clear, your attitude, and if you're really interested in the job and the company.

I went through two stages: a group activity and a panel with managers. Both were online, which was still tiring. The whole process felt outdated. In the group dynamic, each person introduced themselves and answered questions. We had to stay on the call with cameras on until the very end. It would be much simpler if we could leave after our turn or at least turn off our cameras. The call lasted 3 hours. The panel with managers was similar to the group dynamic, mainly about introductions. They added a basic 30-minute case study, but they were really assessing personality and whether the manager liked you. For the presentation part, they required slides using 'storytelling' about your background and life, essentially rehashing what was already said but with fancy slides. It seemed like whoever made the prettiest slides had a better chance. I wasn't told about this requirement beforehand, so I didn't have slides, putting me at a disadvantage compared to others who were informed. Overall, it's a long, tiring, and unnecessary process for everyone involved.

The hiring process will happen right at the agency and has three parts. First, there's a multiple-choice test on logical reasoning to check how well you think and solve problems. The best performers move on to the second part, which is a group activity with other agency folks. This part is to see how you get along with others, communicate, and work in a team during pretend work situations. Finally, those who do great in the group activity get invited to the third and last part: an interview with the manager in charge of the area. Here, the manager can get to know each candidate better and see if they're a good fit for the job.
