Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Gerdau.
Electrical Engineer
I had a phone interview with the recruiter, but they never followed up after that call. The next stage was supposed to be two one-hour interviews, but Gerdau didn't contact me to set them up.
- Could you tell me a bit about yourself?
Electrician
It was pretty simple. I was interviewed by the supervisor, along with the head of HR. There was no theoretical or practical test, just the usual questions, like what types of machinery I've worked with, for how long, and so on.
- How long have you been working in this field?
Electrical Engineering Intern
It was fair. They selected the best resumes from the recruitment company directly for the interview, which happened immediately, directly with the manager.
- It was a very simple interview, more of a chat about projects I've already done in college.
- They also asked if I had experience with volunteer projects that help people, as it was a company practice.
