Customer Service Representative
Got contacted by an agency for a prescreening. Then I had to do a typing test and a call center simulator. The second part of the interview involved a knowledge test, checking basic math and English skills. After the results came back, I had a face-to-face interview with the manager and supervisor. It was a pretty laid-back interview, they were really nice and didn't make it tense.
- What's your strategy for making a sale?
- Is there a difference between a sale and service, in your opinion?
- Can you tell me about your previous role?
Customer Service Representative
I was with the company for about 2 weeks. I got a call and they asked if I wanted to apply. I applied online and then got a phone interview that same day. They asked about my past jobs and my education. It was a basic interview to learn more about me. The next day I took a placement test online. Then I had another phone interview because I applied for a bilingual position. This interview was more casual, basically to check my Spanish skills and have a chat. The next day they called me back to set up a face to face interview for the following week. That interview was pretty long and had more in-depth questions, like how I'd handle an angry customer, what I'd do if the company's practices conflicted with my beliefs, my strongest quality, and my weakest one. After the interview, on my way home, HR called and offered me the job. I got an official offer letter by email, printed it, signed it, and mailed it back. Then I had to wait for a drug screening and background check. I didn't actually start for another 3 weeks after everything was done.

Customer Service Representative
It started with a quick recruiter chat to see if I basically fit the qualifications. Since I'm in another state, the whole thing was remote. It was pretty organized. Then, I had a second interview with three supervisors. I think it was meant to be a behavior-based interview to cut down on bias and they used the STAR method. It seemed like everyone I met had been there for a really long time, which seems to be the norm there.
- Can you tell me about a situation where you had to present an unpopular opinion or make a tough decision? What did you decide and what was your reasoning?
