Got referred by a friend who worked in another department at the University. The supervisor knew my friend and agreed to interview me. She gave me her number, I called her, and she asked me to come in ASAP with my resume. When I arrived, she informally asked me about myself, my credentials, and my work availability. She said she'd talk to the business manager. The next day, she called and told me to contact the business manager. I made an appointment with her. The business manager asked similar questions to the supervisor. At the end, she hired me. I think they needed to fill the position fast because the previous person was unreliable, which is why it went so quickly.

I applied by completing an online questionnaire and uploading my resume. A few days later, I received an email for a Skype interview. I was studying abroad at the time, so this was arranged. The interview was with another candidate as well, since they always do group interviews for student assistants. The video didn't work, but the interview went okay. In less than a week, I was told I got the job and would start when I got back home.
