Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Georgia Power.
Intern
The interview process was really well-organized and easy to follow. I had a phone screening with the recruiter first, then two virtual calls with the technical team. After that, they let me know they were moving on with other candidates.
- Describe a situation where you had to work with a challenging teammate.
Intern
It was a standard call with multiple rounds of questions, which seemed pretty normal. It felt like corporate interviews rather than with a specific department since they didn't ask any technical or specific questions.
- Tell me about challenges you've faced and how you overcame them.
Co-op
You start by applying online on Southern Company's website. If they like your application, they'll reach out for a quick phone chat. If you're still a good fit after that, they'll ask you to come in for a real interview. This interview involves a panel of 3-5 people and usually takes about 15-20 minutes.
- What motivated you to apply for this co-op and what do you hope to achieve from it?
