First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Georgetown University.
Administrative Assistant
I had an online interview with the assistant director for this part-time role. We talked about my past administrative work, how I deal with responsibilities, and my schedule. Since it's part-time, there's a lot of flexibility.
- Tell me about your experience in administrative tasks.
- How do you handle responsibilities?
- What is your availability for this role?
Office Administrator
The interview process included a preliminary HR screen over the phone focusing on general skill sets. Following this, there was a second interview with the hiring manager, who was new to Georgetown. The third and final interview was conducted with the hiring manager and another team member.
- Can you share an instance where you had to resolve a problem that arose in the workplace?
Administrative Assistant
I applied online. A month later they called me for a phone interview. Then, two weeks after that, another phone interview. Finally, I had an in-person interview. The questions weren't hard. The multiple interviews were the most I'd ever had. I'm hoping to be hired, but I know the competition is high.
- Were the questions straightforward and related to the position?
