First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Geometric.
Design Engineer
I had an interview in Bangalore. The process included an aptitude test, a group discussion, and then a combined technical and HR round. The aptitude test was moderately difficult, and I passed it. In the group discussion, out of 11 candidates, I was one of the 3 selected. The next day was the technical and HR round. They asked me about the fundamentals of SOM, GD&T, and also about orthographic and isometric projections. I felt I did well. But I'm still puzzled why I wasn't selected after reaching the technical and HR stages, as it's usually a 99% guarantee of selection at that point. Any insights would be appreciated.
- What are the basics of SOM?
- Can you explain the basics of GD&T?
- Tell me about orthographic projections.
C++ Developer
HR reached out, mentioning they were hiring freshers with a Mechanical background. There was an online C++ test followed by a face-to-face interview. I passed the interview, and the HR suggested I could start the next week. However, when I met the manager, he inquired about my prior coding experience and stated they were seeking candidates with experience.
- Could you answer some basic logical questions?
- What are OOPS concepts?
- Explain C++ hierarchy.
Software Developer
I had a phone interview with some technical folks from Geometric, and it went really well. I felt like I nailed all the questions, and the interviewers seemed positive about hiring me. A week later, I reached out to the HR person to check on the status. They mentioned they hadn't received feedback from the interviewers and hadn't heard back. It would have been nice to at least get a response, positive or negative.
- Tell me about your past projects.
Management Associate
They asked a lot about the projects that I have worked on. touched on various aspects of HR like training and development, competency management, performance management. Key learnings from the previous projects. Evolution through time
