For this .NET job, you can expect questions covering a lot of the framework and tech around it. We'll hit on C# basics, .NET framework stuff like CLR and GAC, ASP.NET including its page life cycle and differences between Web Forms and MVC, Entity Framework concepts like Code-First and Database-First, and finally Web API, including its difference from WCF and attribute routing.

I applied via LinkedIn and got a callback in 2 days. The process was fast, and my interview was scheduled for the next week. The first round was a basic check, asking about my reasons for switching and willingness to commute to the office after covid. The second round was with the CTO, which was a unique experience. It wasn't routine technical questions. They greeted me warmly and asked about my education and first job. Then came questions like 'do you love or like coding?' and 'do you love or like computers?'. I answered that I love both. A question about the inventor of the first digital computer followed, which I couldn't answer, and was told that loving computers should lead to curiosity about its origins. Many similar questions were asked that I didn't know much about. However, I felt it would be great to join such passionate people. This interview lasted 45 minutes, leaving me exhausted but satisfied with the experience, despite not knowing many answers. The next day, I was informed I passed for the HR round. The HR round included questions about my motivation for changing jobs, my decision to join if offered, and how I'd react if my current company offered retention. I was satisfied with the CTC, which was close to my expected amount (around 90%). They were also okay with my 3-month notice period, which was a relief. I eventually joined Genzeon after my notice period.

I applied back in January and went through what felt like a never-ending interview process. First, there was a test, then two technical rounds, a client round, and a techno-managerial round, after which I was extended an offer. But just a week before my intended start date, they called for another client round, which involved yet another technical round. There were also multiple prep calls thrown in. Because of this drawn-out process, I ultimately decided not to join the company.
