Got a call from a recruiter at a third-party vendor who set up an interview on their platform, focusing on Python, Django, and REST API requirements. Not sure if the interviewer was from Genzeon. The platform had a coding window. The interviewer only unmuted to ask questions, with no video. They didn't answer any follow-up questions or provide clarifications.

It was very weird! I got the HR call and screening. Then he started pushing to speed up the process because it was urgent and asked for 2 levels of tech interviews. Then I had to have a few more rounds of discussions with senior leadership. After clearing all the rounds, the HR discussion was completed and they agreed to the offered salary. They ghosted me for a week, and then the HR called one day saying they wanted me to join with a 25% salary cut because the role was no longer available, and their CEO still wanted someone like me. I denied it. Organizations that don't have ethics to maintain dignity from the start will try to exploit.

I saw the opening and sent an email to apply. I got a response saying an interview would be scheduled and it was later communicated via a meeting invite. Later, I was informed that the interview panel wasn't available because they had a production issue. It was rescheduled and the first round was completed. For the second round, again the interview was scheduled after a follow-up and it was communicated via a meeting invite. Guess what, again a few minutes before the interview time, I was informed that the interview panel was busy with a production issue and couldn't conduct the interview. I decided to not continue wasting time with them.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

My interview with Genzeon was a really good one. The whole process felt put together, and they were upfront about everything. It was also really respectful. The HR folks kept in touch and were clear about what was happening next, and the people interviewing me were pros but also easy to talk to. They asked stuff that was both technical and about how I handle things — like seeing if I could solve problems, lead a team, and knew my stuff for the job. The questions felt fair and like they actually mattered for the role. I liked that the panel took the time to explain what they were looking for and let me ask my questions too. What I really noticed was how organized it all was and that the interviewers actually seemed interested in learning about my background and if I'd be a good fit. It felt like it showed their company vibe of working together and aiming high. All in all, it was a great experience, and I left thinking really highly of Genzeon as a place to work. They made a great impression.
