Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Genworth.
Finance Analyst
The interview process was really efficient, with two back-to-back rounds on the same day, and I got an offer right after. It was a lot better than other firms I've interviewed with. The people interviewing me were super friendly and it felt more like a chat than a test.
- What do you hope to gain from this developmental role?
Financial Analyst
The hiring journey usually kicks off with a screening to check your background. Then, you'll likely have some interviews with the team leads or folks on the team. For some jobs, you might get a take-home assignment or a case study to work on. The final stretch usually involves meeting with higher-ups to see if you're a good fit culture-wise and strategically. If everything looks good, they'll do reference checks and then send over a job offer.
- Describe a situation where you encountered a challenge professionally and detail your approach to overcoming it.
Financial Analyst
The first step was a Hirevue interview. I'm not a huge fan of Hirevue interviews because usually you get two attempts per question, but this company only gave one attempt. It was supposed to be behavioral, but threw in some technical questions I wasn't expecting.
