Communication was frequent and detailed until after the interview took place. I wasn't given a call back, emails and calls were disregarded, all despite having traveled to another state for the interview at my own expense. It's one thing to pass on a candidate, but to leave them in the dark after making a decision internally, and to force them to absorb significant travel expenses without a word is unacceptable.

Two interviews happened. The first one was casual, with the potential manager, supervisor, and manager in the IT department. It took place in the cafeteria, which was confusing because the doors said to go elsewhere. Coffee, soda, and snacks were available. The three interviewers seemed surprised I hadn't met HR yet. They checked references and my employability between interviews. The second interview was more formal, in an office. The CEO read questions from a printout, possibly an email. After that, I got a quick tour of the area managed by the potential manager.

I applied online and got a call back in about 2-3 weeks. The interview was a good experience, and the interviewer was friendly. They asked about all the keywords in my resume and wanted details on my projects.
