Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Genpact.
Financial Analyst
Interviewed by a project manager and a senior manager. It was a friendly, easy-going conversation. They asked relevant questions about my work experience and career goals. It felt more like a chat than a strict Q&A.
- Can you walk me through the monthly close process?
- Could you tell me about your experience with different ERP systems?
- What are your future career goals?
Financial Analyst
I got the interview through my university's career services. They are looking to hire about 40 people in Dallas for financial analyst roles this year. I've only completed the on-campus interview so far. It's been almost a month with no reply. They ask both behavioral and technical questions based on your background and real-world practice. The questions are generally straightforward and answerable with existing knowledge, but they aim to gauge your overall understanding of the financial market.
- Could you explain how you would build a model for analyzing credit risk in the credit card business?
Finance Transformation
The interview process had three rounds. First, a telephonic interview with the Practice Manager. Second, a face-to-face interview with the Practice Manager and HR. Third, a face-to-face interview with the Practice Head and HR.
- Can you discuss your previous project in detail?
- HR asked about my motivation for seeking a new job.
