So, HR called first, then I met the hiring manager a week later, and then the hiring manager's boss another week after that. In the end, it was a rejection. The HR person really rubbed me the wrong way, trying to lock me into a salary that was lower than the market rate (and with only "some relocation help") even before I'd spoken to anyone else. I actually connected well with the managers, especially the direct hiring manager. But I suspect that HR's mindset of "get the most for the least" and the fact that I don't live nearby ended up sinking my chances.

The process was really long: first an intake call with HR, then an interview with two managers, followed by a personality/logic test, and finally a presentation and a 1-hour interview. After all that, I had to follow up to find out the results and got a cold email saying someone else got the job. It was a terrible experience for a biotech company, with no respect for the candidate. No feedback was given on the tests or interviews. The whole thing took about 2-3 months. I expected better from Genmab.

The interview process was great, with continuous updates about the process steps along the way, though a bit stretched out. All the interview rounds were amazing, a very positive experience. Genmab seems to really emphasize ensuring a great working environment! A total of six rounds - initial screening by HR recruiter (teams) - interview with hiring manager (teams) - interview with 1 senior colleague from an adjacent department (teams) - interview with 2 members of the team the position is located in and 1 senior colleague from another adjacent department (In person) - interview with 3 senior colleagues from the team the position is located in (teams) - online assessment + online personality test - interview with HR recruiter regarding results of test and negotiation of compensation and benefits. From application sent to first round of interview, 3 weeks went by. And exactly 2 months from the first interview to a job offer was made. Overall, a very positive attitude from all interviewers and great updates along the way. Would recommend everyone applying to Genmab to be patient, as it seems during the interview process it is a priority to ensure the candidate and employee are a great match. Overall, a 5-star experience.

The recruiter reached out because they were interested in my background. We had a call, and it went well. They told me about an on-site interview with the hiring manager and a project manager. It was a bit inconvenient since I had to take time off work, but I went. The PM started with a presentation about the company. My potential manager was late, asked a couple of broad questions, and left. I felt like they hadn't read my CV as the role didn't quite align with my experience. The interview ended in under two hours. A few days later, the recruiter called to say I wasn't selected. What was surprising was that the rejection wasn't about the CV mismatch, which I would have understood, but about communication and motivation, which felt like a personal dislike rather than a lack of fit. Overall, it felt like a waste of time and didn't give me a good impression of their hiring process.
