There was no formal interview, just online tests. These involved translating a text of about 300 words. You get three tries for both the basic and pro tests. It's crucial to pay close attention to typography, like using the correct type of dash. They usually review the tests within two days, but you can't contest the results, even if you think you're right. Basically, they'll likely find any small error to reject your test, perhaps to limit the number of translators for a specific language pair.

I completed the Pro test. Passed test, although was challenging. There were no interviews, just the test. It probably took me about an hour to do the test because the example was specifically meant to be challenging with clear "traps". The key is to not do a literal translation and to instead try to interpret the meaning and communicate it as a native would in the target language.

The interview process didn't really have an interview. It was more like a test to make sure I could actually do the job. They asked about how many language pairs I can translate and tested me based on that.
