The interview process started off well, but then became unprofessional when I was ghosted. First, there was an HR interview with Matt, who was a straightforward and nice guy. After that, I completed a Hackerrank assessment. Then, I interviewed with Chris, who is the senior (and only) digital assets trader. He seemed like a decent guy. After that, I was ghosted even though I was told it was the second to last stage and that I'd be contacted about next steps. I tried emailing multiple contacts, but there was complete silence from everyone. I'm not sure if they were told to do this?

The interview process started with a phone call from HR. They asked about the company and the role, and my previous experience. They asked typical interview questions but seemed disengaged, as they were cleaning and making noise during my answers. This was quite unprofessional. The next step was an in-person interview at the Dublin office with three people from the trading team. They discussed the role, the company, and my background again. They asked a series of standard behavioral questions. They repeatedly mentioned the long working hours and that the pay is below market rates, but did mention a good bonus. Following this, there was a 20-minute math test that included brainteasers. The final stage was a group call via Skype with the team leads in Chicago. They appeared uninterested and repeated the same questions asked in Dublin. They placed too much importance on prior trading experience, despite the role being for a Junior Trader. HR never confirmed if an offer was made, even after I followed up with several emails. This was again very unprofessional. I would not suggest applying.

There were 2 interviews. The first one was mainly about character and background, with some questions about your macro view and general knowledge of financial events. You might get a 12-question brainteaser with a 20-minute time limit (about 1.5 minutes per question). Don't stress too much if you mess it up, just write something logical. The second interview was longer and partly covered similar ground but focused more on market knowledge. They really wanted to see what makes you tick. More questions on financial current affairs came up, and you might have a short computational test where you need to think aloud and explain your reasoning. There were about 4 or 5 questions, nothing too hard.

After applying, I got an email to set up a phone interview. We talked for about 40 minutes, covering my resume and past work. Then, they asked some basic questions on design patterns and how to remove duplicates from a list. I felt good about the call and they mentioned sending a coding test. I completed and sent in the test that night. I haven't heard back since the test submission, so I had to reach out to the recruiter for an update on my application status.
