First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Genesys.
Sales Development Representative
It was a 5 step interview process. First was an interview with the hiring manager. Then, I interviewed with a current SDR. After that, there was a panel interview with 5 other people. Next, I interviewed with the Sales manager, and finally, I interviewed with the VP of Sales Development. Each interview was between 30 minutes to an hour and they were straight to the point. Everyone seemed interested in learning about me. Most of the questions weren't too hard. I've been through a lot of interviews with many companies, and Genesys' was definitely the best process I've experienced. The recruiter made scheduling every step very easy!
- What makes you want to leave your current company?
- What is your reason for choosing Genesys?
- What would your current supervisor say about you?
Sales Development Representative
First, there's a basic intro call with the recruiter, where they'll ask standard questions. Then, you'll interview with the hiring manager. The main focus here is understanding your motivations – why Genesys, why sales, and how you're developing yourself (through books/courses). Next up is a panel interview with 5 employees, including hiring managers and current SDRs. It's similar to the previous round, focusing on your motivations, how you collaborate, and a review of your resume, plus a mock call. The last step is a meeting with the director. Make sure you have good questions prepared. If you've gotten this far, you should be able to ace the final interview.
- Walk me through your resume
- Tell me about yourself
- Why Genesys?
Sales Development Representative
A recruiter from Genesys reached out to me by phone. Two interviews were scheduled. The first interview was canceled due to a scheduling conflict and was never rescheduled. The second interviewer rescheduled during the phone interview. At the end of the second call, the interviewer mentioned that the two interviewers would 'share notes' rather than reschedule the initial call. I haven't heard back about my application status since then.
- What is your ideal job?
- Between perks, benefits, and pay, which do you prefer?
