Project Manager
The interview process involved an initial recruiter call, followed by interviews with both the team and management. These sessions aimed to clarify job requirements, assess technical skills, and determine overall fit. It became apparent during the interviews that the responsibilities and expectations for the role were not clearly defined.
- Tell me about your knowledge of relevant tools.
- What tools do you have experience with for project management?
Senior Project Manager
Got an email from a recruiter, then had a phone interview with them about 2 weeks later. After that, I interviewed with the Director of Professional Services for the Financial division. Then I spoke with a peer who's also a Director of Professional Services, but for the West Division. Next up were two more Directors, one from the East Enterprise Division. The final interview was with the VP of Professional Services. The whole thing took a bit over a month because everyone was busy, but all the people I talked to were really down-to-earth and gave me a lot of good info about the job.
- Can you share some project failures you've experienced and how you addressed them?
- What's your approach to managing scope creep?
Project Manager
A Genesys recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn to kick things off. We had a quick 15-minute call, followed by a longer, hour-long chat with the manager for this role. Things seemed to go well, so they set up two more virtual Zoom meetings because of Covid: one with some team members and another with the department director. Overall, it was a good experience, and I liked that the team was open to my questions and I got to know them a bit.
- Can you share your experience with agile methodologies?
