& Process

The interview process took about 2 months. Round 1 was a meeting with TA. Round 2 was meeting with the hiring manager. Round 3 was meeting with a panel of interviewers. Round 4 was a case study and presentation. Round 5 was a meeting with the VPs. I was told if I passed round 4, I got the role and round 5 was just a formality. They said I'd get an offer before month end. I passed round 4 and my expected package was confirmed. After round 5, I waited for the offer, but it never came. After another 2 weeks, I was told the role was offered to someone else. This wasted over 2.5 months of my time.

First, an RH screening (30 min) to check the basics: your background, motivations, salary expectations, and availability. The goal is to make sure you fit the essential criteria. Then, an interview with your Direct Manager (30 min) to dive into technical skills and job fit. The manager assesses your operational capabilities and how well you'd fit their management style. Next, an interview with the operational teams (30 min) to see how you'd fit into the existing team. Your future colleagues will evaluate potential collaboration, teamwork, and how your profile complements theirs. Finally, an interview with the Manager/VP (30 min) for final approval from higher management. They'll look at your strategic vision, alignment with long-term goals, and assess the investment.

First, there was an online HR screening which was really nice and set up very quickly. Then, I had an in-person meeting with a colleague in a lead role at the office in Zurich. It was a straightforward and pleasant conversation.
