Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Genesys.
Account Executive
I had a couple of chats with the recruiting team. They were nice, always saying the next step would be to talk to the hiring manager, but then they'd go silent without any feedback.

Account Executive
I had a bunch of Zoom interviews. I interviewed twice with the hiring manager, his boss, and his boss's boss. There was also a panel interview with people from pre-sales, sales, and IT, and a Zoom interview with another sales rep. This all happened over six weeks. The final interview was with the hiring manager, and I was told I'd hear from the recruiter the next week about an offer. But then there was silence, and I only got a generic email from the hiring manager. It's really unprofessional to go through this whole process and then just stop communicating without any transparency about the decision. Companies need to sell themselves too, not just the candidate. If they offered me the job now, I'd decline because of how unprofessional they were at the end.

Account Executive
I was not actively looking but a recruiter reached out about how Genesys powers the worlds best customer experiences and it immediately caught my attention. Interview process moved very quickly and I accepted an offer. By all indications it appears to be a great place to work and the solution has a fantastic value prop. I am looking forward to joining the team soon!
- Can you share an instance of a failure and how you handled it?
