The interview process wasn't too long. It consisted of a phone screen and then two more interviews, all spread out over about two weeks. I was hired shortly after that. The interviews featured basic questions, with some specific to youth programs and working with students.

I had a phone call with the department head, and she seemed really nice. She set up a second interview. Since I don't live near the office, they interviewed me over Zoom. The next interview was with two people who aren't in my department. They were late for the meeting, saying they forgot it was on Zoom. It felt like a bad sign. The interview itself was pretty standard, with questions about my experience and some "tell me about a time" scenarios. The interviewers were okay but didn't seem very engaged. I asked about what happens next, and they said I'd hear back the following week, no matter what. I didn't hear anything, so I followed up the week after that. Still nothing. I can't believe they didn't even send a quick email saying they weren't moving forward, especially after saying I would hear back. It's pretty unprofessional, especially for an organization that's supposed to teach young adults professional skills.

So Genesys Works has this interview process that's like, a few steps. The first one is pretty short, like 15-20 mins, but then there's a second one that's a whole hour. I didn't even know about the second interview when I got the invite for the first one, so I was totally caught off guard. They didn't ask me anything about my past jobs in that first short interview. For the first interview, you have to give this 5-minute presentation on 'How to succeed in College,' like you're talking to high schoolers. After that, you grab a word from Genesys Works' mission statement out of a hat and have to explain why it's important, super quick. Then, they toss a beach ball around with questions on it, like 'What's your favorite restaurant?' The second interview is in a conference room with like 4 or 5 people interviewing you, and they grill you about your previous work experience. That hour-long interview felt way too long and repetitive, it was kind of intimidating. Even though I'd already talked about certain experiences or projects, they'd later ask me to describe them again.
