After you apply, there are 5 steps. First is a phone screening, then an aptitude test. After that, you'll have a behavioral interview. Then, there's a web development course with a final project. Finally, there's a group interview where everyone in the cohort is put into teams to tackle a survival challenge question.

I had multiple interviews with Genesis10 over a couple of weeks, including phone, Skype, and in-person meetings. Early on, they made me feel really good about my chances, saying I was a top candidate. They said I'd have a final interview with the client, but it never happened. They kept me hanging on for months without delivering on their promises or even updating me. I called a bunch of times trying to find out why there was no final interview. I get that business needs can change, but they really left me in the dark and didn't bother to update or follow up. I'm still waiting for a clear reason, but thankfully I've already accepted a job elsewhere.

Behavioral Presentation Group

It all started with a recruiter reaching out on LinkedIn. We had a phone chat where they gauged my general qualifications and how I'd fit with the company, also asking about where I'd prefer to work. Super important to be straight up here, don't pretend to be more flexible than you are just to get ahead. If you pass that, you'll get an email about the next step. If it's a yes, you'll join a bigger group (about 10 of us in my case). They explained we'd break into smaller teams to design a process and then present it to a panel later. We had the rest of the session to work on it, and during that time, each of us got pulled out individually for one-on-one chats with two interviewers. For those one-on-one chats, definitely do your homework on the company – it really impresses them! Make sure you know the answers to the questions the recruiter gave you. Try to remember the interviewers' names because they'll likely be at your presentation and can ask questions; using their names is a big plus. During the presentation itself, be ready for unexpected questions. They want to see your professionalism, so stay calm and confident. And finally, ask thoughtful questions that show you'll be a great addition and make them look good.
