I applied on LinkedIn and within three weeks, I had my first phone interview and then was flown out to the corporate office for two formal interviews with the Marketing team. The managers I interviewed with currently manage or have managed the role I applied for, which was super helpful for getting more details. The interviews were fast-paced and mostly situational/behavioral questions, so be ready. Have your own questions ready for the last 8-10 minutes. They also set up an informal coffee chat at the WHQ with someone in the role I applied for, which helped me understand the daily tasks and get honest feedback. Overall, it was an amazing process and the recruiting team was great.

Behavioral Technical Case Other

I had previously interviewed for an AMM role and got rejected. I contacted the recruiter to see if I could be considered for a senior marketing associate position. The recruiter agreed and sent me a link to apply online. After applying, I got an email saying I was selected for final in-person interviews happening within a week. Before the interview, I had to complete two behavioral assessments and a deductive reasoning test (18 questions in 20 minutes, quite tough, not sure how to prep) at least 48 hours prior. The behavioral questions were repetitive. On interview day, I was picked up 20 minutes late by a recruiting assistant with no explanation, which messed with my timing and ability to ask questions. I only managed to ask one question of the marketing manager. After the two interviews, I had a 30-minute chat with another marketing associate at the building's coffee shop. Then, I met with the recruiter again, who apologized for the lateness but still gave no reason. The recruiter mentioned that an offer would involve a background check, employment verification, and drug test, with the whole process taking two weeks, and that typically new hires give two weeks' notice afterward, with about a month from offer to start date. I was told I'd hear back within a week and indeed, I received an email exactly a week later stating I wasn't getting an offer.

Behavioral Technical

I got a message from a recruiter on LinkedIn and we scheduled a phone interview for 3 days later. I spoke with a Marketing Manager and it was mostly behavioral. They called me the same day and I got an in-person interview. I completed 3 assessments: 2 behavioral and 1 deductive reasoning. The in-person interview was 4 days later. A recruiting assistant met me and we talked about my schedule and why she likes working for General Mills. Then a Senior Marketing Associate took me for coffee, she was really nice and explained the role and what it takes to succeed here. After that, I had three 30-minute interviews back-to-back, all behavioral. They were tough but interesting, and I liked hearing about everyone's experience. The day ended with a final chat with recruiting and I got a box of Lucky Charms! It was a good but challenging experience. I'm waiting to hear back.
