Applied through a referral. The interview was set up on MS Teams with a junior person. They didn't introduce themselves or talk about the role, just jumped straight into questions. The interviewer seemed to lack understanding of the real-world challenges in implementing Data Science projects. The hiring manager showed up for the last 5 minutes, even though they initially said they'd only need 5 minutes at the start. Felt like a waste of time.

The recruiter reached out because they're actively hiring Senior Data Scientists for their eCommerce team. She set up a technical interview with a Data Scientist who seemed to have only 2-3 years of experience. He thought I was a good fit, but a few days later, I got a rejection. The hiring manager never even talked to me. I heard they're hiring aggressively. My interview was like another person's but didn't involve Codility. It felt like a waste of time.

Applied online and got an email within a week to schedule a phone interview, which happened about a week later with the hiring manager. After that, I was invited for an on-campus interview which included a 90 min case study prep, one-on-one chats with HR and others in the hiring group, and presenting the case study. I thought the whole thing was really well done, better than I expected. I particularly liked the case study part because I could show how I think analytically, and also the lunch with a "peer" was great for learning about the job and the team's vibe. Got a call back within 3 business days. They do a background check that's pretty thorough and takes about 4 weeks.
