First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at General Dynamics.
Customer Service Representative
First, there was a virtual interview where I had to answer four questions within 15 minutes after watching a PowerPoint and a video. If I passed that, the next day was a face-to-face interview. The dress code was business casual. When I went in, they asked me about two pages worth of questions. Some people get hired even if they don't get through all the questions. I was asked specific questions about the company's core values, but I know others weren't.
- Tell me about a time you had to deal with an angry customer.
Customer Service Representative
First, you'll chat with a recruiter. They'll have you read from a script, and if you're bilingual, there's a phone test. If they decide to offer you the job, the recruiter will let you know right away. Then, you'll pick a work shift that's available and fill out some paperwork like the tax form.
- What experience do you have?
Customer Care Manager
I applied through Indeed.com and was contacted a few weeks later by the program manager for the group I was interested in. The communication was really bad throughout, with them missing interviews, the HR team not being on the same page, and salary negotiations being a total nightmare.
- Considering our strict federal government contract and HIPAA guidelines, how would you manage your team to ensure compliance while maintaining employee morale?
