First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at General Dynamics Information Technology.
Cybersecurity Analyst
The interview process was very easy. They asked me to describe, tell me about yourself and describe something extra ordinary that you have done at a work place. Tell me about a time where you had to work under pressure to prioztite deadline and how did you achieve it.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What is something extraordinary you have accomplished at work?
- Describe a situation where you had to work under pressure to meet a deadline and explain how you managed it.
Cyber Security Analyst
It was just one round, a panel interview. If they like you, you're hired. Super simple interview process. You just need to know your OWASP Top 10, GitLab tool, API, and other tools like Netsparker.
- Questions regarding GitLab
- Questions about APIs and how API files function
Cyber Security Analyst
I spent ages prepping for this quick phone interview that felt hurried and unfinished. The interviewer mentioned he had many interviews and needed to rush through this one. He sometimes interrupted me when I was talking about my experience or answering technical questions. He also repeatedly emphasized how stressful, demanding, and miserable this job would be, saying I'd 'miss a lot of sleep, work weekends, and holidays, even Christmas,' making it sound like work-life balance was terrible. After the interview, I never heard back. I thought it went okay even though I didn't want the job after hearing all that, so I didn't follow up. I wished I had received some feedback. I was getting better offers elsewhere that were more positive.
- What are basic ports for a service?
- How does a network operate?
- Very basic networking questions, like how DNS works, what a DMZ is, and how routers work.
