Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Generac Power Systems.
Intern
They did a phone screen first, then a longer behavioral interview, followed by a technical interview. The tech interview was lengthy and included questions directly related to the job description, avoiding generic questions.
- Generic questions about yourself, then a technical interview.
Intern
I sent in my application online and heard back a few weeks later about setting up a phone interview with the recruiter. The questions they asked were pretty standard, nothing too out there. After the call, they invited me for an on-site interview the following week. This involved three separate one-on-one chats with people I'd be working with, mostly going over my resume and discussing the role. The recruiter mentioned I should expect to hear back by the end of the week. I ended up getting the offer later that same day.
- How do you keep yourself organized?
- What personal flaw do you think is your biggest?
- What makes you want to work for Generac?
Electronics Intern
It was pretty easy process. First was online interview behavioral phone call with an interviewer. 2nd interview was in person at their head quarters, didn't ask many technical questions, more of a just get to know what you'll be doing there.
- Can you provide some keywords related to the C programming language?
