I got contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn and sent my resume. A few days later, I got an email to set up a quick phone screening where they asked if I planned on getting my master's or CPA, and my salary expectations. During the call, the recruiter talked a bit about the job and the interview process, and asked for my availability for a video interview and an assessment test. When it was time for the assessment, someone called to explain it; it was a timed, easy JE (journal entry) test. Before the main interview, I had to complete and submit an application form. Two managers interviewed me, which lasted about 20-30 minutes. They asked basic interview questions and some accounting JE questions. They finished by asking if I had any questions. They were pretty neutral and not overly friendly, which is fine. I didn't hear back about an offer or rejection, and since a week passed, I'm assuming I didn't get it. Overall, it was a good experience for an entry-level candidate like me.

I found the job on LinkedIn and was first contacted by the company's recruiter. After a few weeks, HR reached out to schedule an interview. They were really accommodating with scheduling, even moving the interview three times for me because I had trouble taking time off work. I interviewed with a Director. We started with a short, 5-question test covering typical fund accounting topics like management fees and capital calls, which wasn't too difficult. Then, the Director and I chatted about my experience and why I'm interested in the company, the usual interview stuff. I thought there might be more STAR method questions, but there weren't.
