Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GE Vernova.
Systems Engineer
The interview process was pretty technical and in-depth. I first spoke with the Manager to go over what the role entails and see if I was a good fit. After that, I had a technical interview with the lead tech for the team.
- Can you explain the difference between TCP and UDP?
Systems Engineer
Had three interviews with different people from different parts of the world within the organization. It was a long process with too many steps that didn't quite make sense. Lots of people involved, recruiters from different countries too. The interviewers were nice.
- What are your reasons for changing jobs?
- Why did you choose GE?
Mechanical Systems Engineer
Had one interview online then one in-person. Got a tour of the manufacturing facility. It was pretty chill, no real technical or behavioral questions. They seemed more interested in my personality and what I've done. Recruiter called back within three days to offer me the job. Really good experience and the work sounds super interesting.
- Are you willing to put in extra hours when needed?
- Would you step in to assist the team with additional analytical tasks?
