First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GE Vernova.
Sales Manager
The interview process had 4 stages. First, a recruiter did a general review. Then, the hiring manager talked to me about the role and if I was a good fit. After that, a Director also talked to me about role fit and personality fit. Finally, the senior HR Manager assessed my fit with the organizational culture.
- Can you share an instance where you creatively resolved a customer's problem?
Sales Manager
after applying online, it took a few weeks to get an invitation for a phone call via email. A date was set via email for a follow-up interview. Phone interview with HR, extensive questions. Video interview with the relevant department and future manager. Received feedback and information on the next steps.
- What are your salary expectations?
- Please tell us a little about yourself.
- Why do you want to switch to GE?
Sales Manager
The whole process was pretty lengthy, about 3 months from when I first saw the job posting until I got the offer. I also had to give 3 months notice to my old company. It started with a telephone interview that was about an hour long. Then there was a face-to-face interview on site which lasted 2 hours and included a presentation. The good part was that after the final interview, the decision-making to get to the offer was really fast, which was impressive local decision making.
- Can you explain how your skills from a different industry (not energy) could be applied to the energy sector and GE's customers?
