Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GE Vernova.
Controls Engineer
I interviewed and got an offer in 3 days. The interview felt conversational and comfortable. The rest of the process was more intense, and I felt pressured to accept the offer, which made me decline. It seemed like a great opportunity, but it wasn't the right fit for me.
- Can you share an instance of a time you experienced failure?
Control Engineer
I had one interview with HR, which was mostly behavioral questions. They wanted to know what kind of person I am, if I'm a good fit for the field, and if I'm able to travel to different sites.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What is your understanding of GE?
Controls Engineer
Had an initial phone screening and then went in for an interview about two weeks later. Interviewed one on one with about 4 different people, two managers, one HR rep, and one technical leader. The whole interview lasted about 4 hours. I drove around 3 hours each way for this interview and was supposed to receive reimbursement for around $200 for travel expenses but it has been almost a year after the interview and I have yet to receive any compensation or much of a response even after sending multiple emails to them.
- Can you explain your motivation for wanting to join GE?
