Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GE Capital.
Financial Analyst
It started with a standard phone screen, and then I had an in-person interview with the hiring manager and the rest of the team. I went to their HQ, and they gave me the usual overview of what the job entails, the expectations, and the opportunities. It was pretty standard for a financial analyst role.
- Can you elaborate on your understanding of the banking regulatory environment?
- How interested are you in the banking regulatory environment?
Financial Analyst
So there were 4 interviews in total. It was a pretty standard process. They seemed really interested in my professional background and thought I'd be a good fit for the team. No cookie-cutter questions here. Mostly it was about the experience I bring and how I'd mesh with the current team.
- Can you talk about your attention to detail?
- Tell me about your previous work experience.
Financial Analyst
The hiring process was pretty fast. The recruiter was great and the hiring managers were very direct. They did a good job explaining the role and I got to ask a lot of questions. They were really good about salary and gave me the number I wanted without much trouble when it came time to negotiate.
- What were the interview questions?
