Customer Service Representative
I applied online and then scheduled a phone interview. I got an email confirmation with some instructions. The call came exactly when I scheduled it. They first talked about pay, schedule, and training. The pay was okay for the area, but the schedule didn't work for me: four weekdays and one rotating weekend day, 1:30pm-10pm (40 hours), with eight weeks of training (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm). After I confirmed my availability met the requirements, they started asking questions. They asked why I was looking for a new job, how I keep organized, and how I stay motivated with repetitive tasks. After I answered, I was put on hold and then told they wanted to schedule an in-person interview. I was given a number to call or could schedule online. I called to ask about a first shift or if I could change to an earlier shift later, but was told the position is always 1:30pm-10pm. Since the schedule didn't work for me, I withdrew my application.

The application process online was pretty easy to get through but it was a lot and took forever, which is pretty common in finance. The first call was just a quick 15-minute chat where they mostly asked if I met the basic requirements. The on-site interview was at a really nice place. The receptionist was super helpful and friendly. The two interviewers seemed nice but maybe a little new to this and not very experienced. Their tattoos were really obvious and I thought it looked unprofessional for an interview. They also made me wait about 35 minutes after my scheduled time. The interview itself was pretty standard problem-action-resolution questions, lasting about 25 minutes. The interviewers didn't really dig deeper or ask follow-up questions on anything I said. After they left the room for a bit, they came back and told me when I might hear back, and then I was done.
- Tell me about a time you did more than what was asked of you.
- What did you do when faced with a challenging customer?
- Can you share an instance where you were asked to compromise your integrity and how you handled it?

Applied online and completed an initial assessment. I was told immediately that I passed the test and could schedule a phone interview, but no times were available, so I had to keep checking back over 3-4 days. Late Sunday night, I was able to schedule it. The interviewer called 5 minutes early. She was very kind and I made sure to be upbeat! Afterwards, she put me on hold to 'check over things'. She came back and offered me an onsite interview, but again, no time slots were available and I had to wait to schedule it. Two days later, I was able to schedule it for the following week. I arrived early for the onsite and only waited 20 minutes. The interviewer was friendly and asked behavioral questions like 'Tell me about...' and 'Can you name...'. She then left to speak with HR, returned, and offered me the job, providing pay info. I was asked to pick my shift right then and schedule my fingerprint and drug screen immediately. I spent 3 stressful weeks waiting for the background check to be completed. They couldn't get in touch with my past employer and needed my W2, which I faxed. After more waiting, I called today to check in, and she confirmed I passed and everything was okay.
