The interview process kicked off on campus with an initial interview led by a senior risk specialist and an HR representative. This stage focused mainly on behavioral and situational questions, probing how you'd handle specific circumstances, alongside a few fundamental financial technical questions. Successful candidates then proceeded to a "Superday" event. This included a breakfast meet-and-greet, a Q&A session where candidates could interact with current employees, and then the core interview stages. Three distinct interviews took place, all centered on similar behavioral and personality-based inquiries. There was ample time allotted for candidate questions during these interviews, so doing your homework on the company's operations and relevant industry trends could help you stand out.

I applied online and heard back from a recruiter for a phone interview. The recruiter was nice and asked some basic questions, mostly about my resume and experience. A few days later, I got an email for an in-person interview at their Chicago office with the hiring manager. When I got there, the hiring manager said they were busy and didn't really have time for the interview. It felt like a huge waste of time because I was rushed out after only about 12 minutes. If they didn't think I was qualified or didn't have time, they shouldn't have scheduled me to come in. I haven't heard back and I'm not interested anymore; I can't imagine working with that person.

So I was referred by a friend and got a call from them. There were like 6 rounds in 3 days. Day 1 was personal interview, GD, a written test for Finance & Accounts, voice and accent, and an online aptitude test. Day 2, I got a call from the Senior Process H.R and the trainer who trains new employees. He asked me 2 easy questions. Day 3 was the final round with the operational manager. He asked me about International Trade related to their work. I told him what I knew and he said they'd get back to me. The next day HR called with the offer. That's how I joined GE.
