Applied with CV and cover letter. Then did an online recorded interview with HireVue. If that went well, there was a final interview on Microsoft Teams. It took 3 months for them to get back to me after I applied. The whole hiring thing is run by AI to check candidates. They didn't give any feedback and didn't talk to me for ages. I felt like a robot, not a person.

It was a panel interview, and the interviewers were really nice, making for a very positive experience. They asked really specific questions about my resume. It's super important to know your resume inside and out. You've got to be ready to dive deep into the technical aspects of everything on your resume, even the smallest details of each project and experience. Like, if a school project involved a team of five, be ready to explain what each of the other four people did and their specific contributions in detail. They're looking for people who are great team players and really focus on all the little things within their team.

I found the job on GE's website and applied in December 2016. First, I filled out basic info, CV, education, and work history. Then came an online situational judgement test, followed by numerical and verbal reasoning tests. After passing that, I did a HireVue video interview with 12 questions - the first 6 were about preferences, and the last 6 were a mix of personality, competency, and motivation. A few weeks later, I got a phone call with general questions about my interest, and then they offered me an on-site interview. I met with the Manager, who was chill, and the interview was pretty technical since they design jet engines. I got a verbal offer about 6 weeks later, and the contract came by email 2 weeks after that.
