Behavioral Technical

I applied through Gradcracker and made sure to include a lot of skills in my application, even smaller ones like teamwork and communication, as long as I had proof. I think this helped me get to the second stage. The first stage was a work behavior assessment and a psychometry test, both online. I did well on these by looking up GE aviation's core values and answering the behavior questions with those in mind. The next stage was an online video assessment, which I didn't pass. They did ask 5 questions though.

  • Describe a situation where you contributed to your team's success.
  • Tell me about a time when things did not go as expected and how you handled the aftermath.

Behavioral Technical

First, there were some online situational judgment tests. Then, an online video interview focusing on competencies and common questions like "Why do you want to work here?". The final stage was an in-person interview in Cardiff, about an hour long, with three hiring managers. This interview mixed competency and technical questions about how jet engines function, specific turbine blade designs, and gears. They got back to me within 24 hours after both the online and final interviews.

Confirmed questions5 questions
  • Can you share an instance where a project you were involved in shifted direction, and describe your response?
  • What motivates your interest in joining our company?
  • Could you elaborate on your understanding of how jet engines operate?
