First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GCS.
Operations Administrator
I applied for a Junior Operations Administrator role, but when I got there, they told me they were actually looking for recruiters and that the earning potential was much higher. It was a total waste of my time since I'm not interested in recruiting. You can't just post a job online and interview people for a completely different role. They also didn't follow up with me after the interview, which was very unprofessional.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What do you hope to gain from this role?
Recruitment Consultant
Formal three stage process where I met multiple stakeholders in the business who gave me an idea of what it was to work here. I felt comfortable to ask probing questions about the type of place it was to work and aspects such as investment in candidate acquisition. Based on my experience here, these were very honest answers.
- Tell me about your experience.
- What makes you want to leave your current job?
- What skills or value will you contribute?
Customer Success Manager
After the initial screening call, the recruiter set up a meeting with their customer. I was told to wait for feedback. I think I will wait for that feedback my entire life. Ghosting candidates is great publicity. Cannot emphasize enough on how disrespectful and unprofessional that behavior is.
- Why did you choose to apply to this company?
- What drives you?
- What were some of your recent challenges?
Software Engineer
For a contract Software Engineer role with Comcast in Philly, after a phone screen, we were all brought in for an in-person interview on the same day. We had a group session where they talked about the job, then two individual interview rounds with the hiring managers. The first round focused on my resume, and the second round was more technical.
- Can you discuss in detail one or two projects or experiences from your resume?
