Behavioral Technical

It took Garmin about a month and a half to get back to me after I applied. Then I had a 30-minute phone interview that was pretty relaxed. The interviewer asked about my resume and for an example of when I helped a customer troubleshoot something. That was on a Thursday, and I didn't get a call to schedule an in-person interview until the following Monday. The on-site interview lasted an hour and a half and I met with three people: two managers and an HR representative. After the interviews, they showed me around the facility and I got to listen in on some calls with an employee.

Behavioral Technical Other

I applied online in mid-December. A recruiter called me for a screening near the end of December. About a week later, HR reached out to set up an on-site interview. This interview was with the locations team lead, another team lead from Kansas, and the recruiter joined remotely. The recruiter went over benefits and answered questions. Then, the locations team lead asked general questions for about 30 minutes. After that, the other team lead joined to ask their questions. Most questions were about getting to know me, my background, and any technical or relevant skills. I followed up with the recruiter about a week after the interview but didn't hear back, so I figured I didn't get it. Then, about a week ago, the recruiter called with a job offer and we scheduled my background and drug screening. I start at the end of February.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • Tell me about a time you helped someone with a technical problem.
  • What experience do you have that's relevant to this job?
  • Describe a situation where you calmed down a difficult customer.
