Electrical Design Engineer
Had a 45 min initial call with the recruiter, then a 1 hour technical screen with an engineer. After that, I was flown out to Olathe for an all-day technical panel with 3 sessions and lunch. The first two stages were pretty relaxed, with interviewers asking about my resume and what I thought were the best circuit elements. But the in-person part was rough. I applied for the fitness watch hardware team, but it turned out all the teams interviewing me were for the aviation group, which wasn't what I expected. To make things worse, the last group I met with was rude and condescending. They gave a paper test on electronics, covering op amps, capacitors, diodes, LEDs, behavioral questions, my resume, and some basic circuit design.
- Could you design a circuit for an LED to connect to a microcontroller?
- How would you analyze the AC behavior of an operational amplifier?
- Explain Bode Plots in the context of capacitors.
Electrical Design Engineer
It was a very technical interview, where we talked through solving technical problems. Make sure you have a solid understanding of analog electronics and be ready to talk about your past internships or accomplishments. There were not many behavioral questions.

I applied online and then two weeks later, I chatted with them at my school's career fair. After that, I got set up with an online interview with an EE manager. The technical interview went well, and I also had a behavioral interview online the same week.

- What do you consider to be the ideal characteristics of an operational amplifier?
- Could you analyze some specific op-amp circuit configurations and explain your reasoning?
