The hiring process was lengthy and lacked transparency. I had a verbal offer call, but the official email never arrived. Subsequently, after three months from the start of the process, they informed me that they needed to reevaluate the hiring procedure.

The interview had five rounds, including an Aptitude test, HR interview, Manager interview, Case Round and the final interview round. The overall process was moderately difficult. The main objective of the interview process was not only to gauge the interest in the gaming industry but also if the candidate will be able to handle the tasks given to him. Also, the role offered had a 2-year training programme that covers four roles of 6 months each.

Even though I told them upfront I don play games much, they said it was fine and understanding the game for marketing purposes would be enough. After round four (which included 3 interviews and a big assignment), they told me my efforts to learn the game weren't good enough. This felt like a big miscommunication on their part. The HR told me this over WhatsApp after I followed up a lot, and the official rejection came months later!
