First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GardaWorld.
Security Guard
The interview process was very fast. They asked some questions about situational awareness and that was it. The interviewer was really nice, calm and friendly. I overall liked the hiring process.
- Tell me about situations related to your awareness.
Security Guard
It was a pretty straightforward interview process. They asked about how I handle stressful situations, deescalation, and just general security common sense. They also asked about my availability and my thoughts on growing with the company. I thought it was a pretty standard interview; security interviews aren't usually too in-depth, depending on the specific site.
- How would you handle a situation where a patient is screaming and yelling causing a scene with other people around?
- How do you handle stressful situations?
- What are your thoughts on deescalation?
Security Guard
Had a telecom interview with HR. They confirmed my Ontario license, criminal check, and First Aid CPR training. We talked about the main goals and role of a security guard, the value to customers to shop in a secure environment, and part-time and full-time opportunities.
- What are the main goals and role of a security guard?
- What value do you bring to customers so they can shop in a secure environment?
- Do you prefer part-time or full-time opportunities?
