Software Engineer Intern
The process started with a behavioral interview, and then moved on to technical interviews. The questions were pretty standard. I had a great experience with the recruiters; they were very responsive and made scheduling easy and flexible. Although I didn't get very far in the process, I really enjoyed my time with the company.
- Can you tell me about a situation where you faced a challenge and how you resolved it?
Software Engineer
The first round was a technical and aptitude test. The technical part had MCQs on DBMS queries, predicting code output, and OOPS concepts, plus two easy-to-moderate coding questions in Java/C++. The aptitude part was also MCQs, covering math and logical reasoning. After this, students were shortlisted. Then, there were two more rounds, potentially on the next day. The first of these was a personal interview where they looked at my resume, asked about past projects, gave me some puzzles (from GfG), and a few OOPS questions with real-world examples. Shortlisted candidates proceeded to the final round. The second personal interview was a mix of technical and HR. They presented some real problems faced in Gap stores and asked for solutions. We also discussed which team I'd prefer, and they asked some basic questions about my background and hometown to gauge general knowledge.
- Tell me about the projects you mentioned on your resume.
- What are some easy and moderate level data structure and algorithms questions?
- What kind of questions were mostly related to the projects you mentioned on your resume?

Company HR/MR contacted me via Naukri and asked basic technical and other questions. They scheduled a face-to-face interview, but I had a vacation planned, so it was rescheduled to a Webex. I cleared that. A week later, on my availability, they scheduled a face-to-face interview at the office, but the panel was unavailable. So, they scheduled another Webex interview after two days. The interviewer seemed uninterested in the Webex format, cut the scheduled hour-long session short to 10 minutes, asked very basic questions, and concluded that a face-to-face interview would be more effective. The very next day, I followed up with HR for feedback, and it was negative. I feel judged without a proper interview, and if they weren't keen on Webex, they should have arranged a face-to-face instead.
- Basic questions on Java
- Concepts of multi-threading
- Spring IOC
