First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Gap Inc..
Customer Service Representative
It was a group interview, and the task was to sell yourself. This was back in 2014, so it's been over a decade and things have likely changed. They were looking for people with pleasant attitudes who were interested in helping others.
- I honestly can't recall, it was so long ago.
Customer Service Representative
It was pretty straightforward. They asked some questions about my past experience, the hours I'm looking to work, and typical personality questions. They also inquired about my previous jobs. On top of that, they asked about my education and my computer skills, including specific programs I know.
- What's your experience like as a customer experience rep?
- Have you done chat support before?
- Can you tell me about your past jobs?
Customer Support Specialist
The interview process involved a group interview. It was quite awkward because there was a delay before each person could answer a question, and you had to wait for your turn. You needed to be quick with your response, because if you were in the middle or at the end of the group, someone else might have already given a similar answer. It didn't feel very professional.
- Can you describe a time you dealt with a challenging customer?
