Test Engineer
The interview process involved meeting with a manager, a director, and an HR representative. The questions were straightforward and focused on my experience. Afterwards, they gave me a tour of the facility and an overview of the work involved. It was an informative session in a relaxed environment.
- Can you write a method in a programming language of your choice?
- What's the probability of getting the same number twice when rolling a dice consecutively?
Test Engineer
Applied online and got a call the next day for an interview. Had to fill out a personality questionnaire (DISC profile) and send it with a transcript before the interview. The interview itself had 3 parts: first, a chat with the recruiter/HR, second, an hour-long test with probability, C++, and SQL questions, and third, an interview with an engineer and a manager. The questions seemed easy and I felt I did well on the test. I passed the HR interview but think I might have failed the technical one. Despite a good GPA, relevant experience, and accepting their low salary offer of 45k, I didn't get the job, which makes me suspect it was due to discrimination or personal connections, especially since they had multiple openings.
- When you roll two dice, what are the chances of getting a sum of 6, and what about a few other sums?
- If you have 3 hats, each with 3 balls (blue, red, white), what's the probability of picking one ball from each hat and getting at least 2 blue ones?
- From a regular deck of cards, if you draw two cards, what is the probability that they are both Aces?
Test Engineer
The interview process was very professional. I first met someone at a career fair, and then the HR recruiter got in touch to set up an interview based on my resume. It started with some basic personality questions, and then there was an assessment with 5 questions on probability and programming.
- If you could invent your ideal job role, what would it be and what's your reasoning?
