First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Gaming Laboratories International.
Test Engineer
The interview process involved meeting with a manager, a director, and an HR representative. The questions were straightforward and focused on my experience. Afterwards, they gave me a tour of the facility and an overview of the work involved. It was an informative session in a relaxed environment.
- Can you write a method in a programming language of your choice?
- What's the probability of getting the same number twice when rolling a dice consecutively?
Client Service Assistant
I went through 2 remote Zoom interviews, first with the HR manager and then with the Department manager. After that, I was invited for a third interview at their offices in Haarlem. This interview went fine, though the manager's manager asked personal questions about my life, like 'what do you do during your weekends?'. I found that a bit upsetting, but the interview overall went well. However, it's been almost 2 weeks since the third interview and I haven't heard back, which I think is really unprofessional. Ghosting candidates really damages a company's reputation and affects the candidate experience.

Document Specialist
The interview process with this company was quite disorganized and didn't seem to consider candidate needs, so it felt like a waste of time. The recruiters weren't clear on what qualifications they were looking for, which made things confusing and inefficient. Accessibility is also an issue; the office isn't easy to get to for people with disabilities. Plus, their remote work policy is really strict, only allowing one day a week after six months, which isn't great for people with disabilities or mobility issues. The interviewer even said working as a disabled person is a 'choice,' which is a really backward and insensitive comment, and they also mentioned a 'global approach' that didn't make much sense. For professional development, they only offer non-accredited courses and limited training focused on the specific role, not broader skills. Career progression is vaguely mentioned after 18 months, but with no clear paths. Communication was poor; first, I was told Spanish and basic Portuguese were fine, but later they said fluency in Portuguese was essential. They also require daily office commutes even though the job could be done remotely, allowing only one remote day per week after probation. The salary wasn't mentioned at all, and their pension scheme is just the legal minimum. Overall, the company seems disorganized, not inclusive, and lacks support, making it an unattractive place to work.
- Are you fluent in [X language]?
Math Analyst
I applied online and they reached out via email for an in-person meeting. The meeting involved a short test covering probability, statistics, and coding. Candidates had to answer one question from each subject, plus one extra from any of the three. Following the test, there was a discussion with the interviewer about the role. About a week post-interview, I received an email to code a random card game in C++. There was an error in the email that gave me less than 24 hours, but I later found out the deadline was actually a week. I was so stressed about finishing it that I just submitted what I had by then.
