Business Development Manager
It was a pretty simple phone interview. The connection wasn't great, so I missed some parts. The HR person was nice and gave a quick rundown of the job. It was short and easy, with no tough or technical questions.
- Could you share your relevant past experience for this position?
- What draws you to our company?
- When would you be able to start?
Business Developer
The interview process started with a short call with the recruiter, then a video call with the recruiter. After that, there was a mock call with the manager, and finally, a video interview with the managers. The whole thing took about a month. Even though I made it to the end, I had to follow up via email for them to send me a rejection. They did the same to my friend, telling him they were moving on with another candidate shortly after asking about his availability. They keep reposting the same job ad.
- Can you name three qualities that make a good salesperson?
- Out of those three qualities, which one do you feel you excel at, and which one requires the most improvement for you?
New Business Development
The interview process had five stages, all conducted over the phone or video call. Each stage lasted at least an hour, with at least a week between them, making the whole thing take a really long time. It was thorough, though, even if a bit drawn out, and could have been shorter. The worst part was after all that effort and prep, they told me I didn't get the job via email with no feedback. It felt pretty embarrassing.
- You'll do a role-play where you pretend to do the job.
- They ask a lot of general interview questions in the last stage.
